Athletic activities have resumed for Clovis Municipal Schools, with a volleyball match between Clovis High School and Artesia set for today at The Rock. As a reminder, due to current public health orders, only essential personnel and venue management will be allowed inside sports venues, and fans are not permitted to attend events in person.
In an effort to adhere to state guidelines, facilities where events are held will be secured and only those individuals on a pre-approved list will be granted admission. Those approved for access are limited to coaching staff on contract with the District, team members, and essential venue and District staff assigned to work at the sporting event taking place.
CLARIFICATION: These restrictions apply to the entire school campus and/or venue, which includes parking areas. Parents transporting student athletes to competitions will be permitted to drop off and pick-up students, but will not be allowed to remain in parking lots or other areas of a campus while an event takes place.
According to the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Participation Guidelines:
- Non-essential visitors will not be permitted
- Spectators are prohibited from competitive play
- Only teams and essential personnel are permitted
- Individuals in attendance (players & essential personnel) must wear a face covering at all times
ONLINE STREAMING IS AVAILABLE
In an effort to make competitions available to the community, Clovis High School has partnered with the NFHS Network in order to live stream home competitions. Unfortunately, away competitions are not available through this service.
