MARSHALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS SHOW EXCEPTIONAL COURAGE AND LEADERSHIP FOR A FELLOW STUDENT

On February 11th, 2022, Marshall Middle School hosted a special student assembly to recognize four outstanding students; Madison Daniel, Brodee Daniel, Anaya Sena-Galvan, and Harmony Sena-Galvan. These four students on January 31st, 2022, went above and beyond for one of their fellow students by coming to their aid after they were struck by an on-coming vehicle while trying to cross the street. Before emergency personnel and Principal, Mr. Todd Morris, could arrive to the incident scene, the four students had already moved the student to a safe place, bandaged a wound on their head, and were in the process of cleaning the cuts and scrapes on their hand.

In attendance at the assembly were family members from both the Daniel and Sena families, Mayor Mike Morris, Superintendent Rene Russ, Mandy Carpenter and Joe Strickland from Employment services; and members from the El Desayuno-Kiwanis Club here in Clovis. Each student was awarded a plaque with words of encouragement and thanks from the iAcademy, a $50 gift card given to them from El Desayuno-Kiwanis, and a Citizenship Award signed by Mayor Morris and the City of Clovis for exceptional leadership and courage.
