HELP SUPPORT IN-PERSON LEARNING
Clovis Municipal Schools currently in critical need of substitute employees to help cover COVID-19-related staff absences.
Substitute opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Teachers
- Educational Assistants
- Nurses
- Secretaries
Base requirements to become a sub under the CMS system; do not require experience, you must have a high school diploma/GED, you must be at least 18 years of age for elementary and 21 for secondary positions, and lastly, you must submit to a background check.
Pay rates may vary depending on the position, but they are offering flexible scheduling and benefits!

Tips for prospective substitutes:
- The Public Education Department is now waiving ALL Substitute license fees.
- The applicant is only responsible for the cost of a $44 background check, which is required by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
