Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced today that there were 387 new COVID-19 cases in New Mexico, as well as three new deaths related to the virus. The state’s total is 31,756 and there are currently 119 hospitalizations.
Dr. David Scrase said that the state is seeing an upward trend of cases. The gating criteria is currently 1.24, which is over the 1.05 goal. The daily cases is higher than the state’s goal of 168, at 233.
The governor reminded every New Mexican to continue social distancing, and mask wearing, reminding residents that the current public health order that expires next week, may changed to reverse the state’s efforts to reopening if numbers remain higher.
