CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Curry County Fair has announced county superstar, Aaron Watson, will perform at the centennial fair in Clovis. Watson will headline the fair’s Country Night on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Curry County Events Center.
Watson’s impressive, independent music career has been proclaimed as a self-made success. The country singer has recorded a total of 12 studio albums including The Underdog which proclaimed Watson as the first independent male artist to debut at Number One on Billboard Top Country Albums. His 2017 album, Vaquero, included his hit track “Outta Style” which introduced Watson to a top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The single won a BMI Awards for most radio airplay in 2017 and the BMI Millionaire Award. His most recent album, Red Bandana, is a 20-song album released in 2019.
“We are excited to celebrate and looking forward to the 100th Curry County Fair. Aaron Watson’s high energy shows along with his traditional country sound is a perfect match for the celebration,” said Lance Pyle, Curry Country Manager. “Concerts tickets will be included in the fair daily admission, allowing the concert and fair to be a great value for the whole family.”
The 100th Curry County Fair, Aug. 11 – 15, will include 2-nights of concerts, livestock shows, carnival, fine arts and 4-H exhibits, commercial vendors, and more.
Daily General Admission for the fair is $8 for adults, $3 for children (3-12 years), and $5 for seniors (60 years and over). Weekly passes for all 5-days of entertainment are also available.
